Translation for international communication: research in this field aims to focus on the translation and international communication of Chinese language and culture, the construction of national language ability and foreign language ability, the multilingual translation and international communication of Chinese medicine culture, the multilingual translation and international communication of Xi Jinping on the Rationale of Governance and other central government documents, the construction of China's overseas corporate image, and the Asia-Pacific game between the U.S. and China with the help of multilingual big data technology, and other topics with practical guiding significance.  We will deeply explore the multilingual big data, study the current situation of its translation and dissemination at the theoretical and practical levels, serve the development of national organizations, enterprises and institutions and other overseas, and enhance China's international dissemination capability.

Research on Cognitive Processes of Interpretation and Translation: The research in this field aims to study the cognitive processing of English-Chinese or French-Chinese interpreting and translation, sight translation and other translation activities and the cognitive mechanisms involved with the help of psychological experimental equipments, such as eye movement, EEG, near-infrared and so on, taking the student translator/interpreter and professional translator/interpreter as the research objects, and to pattern the cognitive processes of the student translator/interpreter and the professional translator/interpreter in different translation activities, and to deconstruct the cognitive processes of the professional translator/interpreter in different translation activities.
