Dr. Mingqian Liu (she/her) is an assistant professor of Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics - Cultural Heritage Development at Beijing Language and Culture University (Beijing, China). She is an experienced history and cultural heritage educator in higher education, museum, and K-12 settings. She is skilled in qualitative research, curriculum design, community engagement, and mentorship. Her research interests include architectural and urban history, historic preservation, heritage interpretation and translation, and museum education. She holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from Texas A&M University (College Station, Texas), an M.A. in History of Art and Architecture from Boston University (Boston, Massachusetts), and a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Iowa (Iowa City, Iowa). She is a season ticket holder of Beijing FC.
